She flickers apprehensively
Sitting tight, in the middle
As if with a stiff neck
Though fully aware of her own frailty
She glances across the room, cautiously
These are testing times for her
The golden glow
Amidst the rich darkness
Emphasises the stark nakedness
Empathising with her ability to blindly pierce through it all
She flows luxuriously down her side
Like lava flowing down a volcano
Creating soft pools of hot slushy wax
A harsh contrast to the hard cold mould she lives in
Much that she adores the heat and colour
The only place she’s safe in is the cold dark
And the very thought of it
Drives a cold shiver out of her shoulders
Down through her sinking spine

Her life’s coming to an end
