Sometimes I wish I were in a band.

Not because of the music or the touring or the money or the groupies or because I can say Woohoo while people say WOW.
Yeah, all of those would be nice too.

But I wanna be in a band because I’d get to name it.
When I hear a suitably odd combination of words I think to myself… hey that would make a perfect rock band name!

Just imagine it would be SO cool to see your name on an incredibly cool album cover in a nearby store or let’s say every time you turn around, you see a bumper sticker with your band’s name and a mob of crazy fanatics wearing your T-shirt! Oh man, it would be awesome!

I would buy their album with blind eyes.

When I wear it, i get smiles and once I had a desi restuarent manager offer me a job of cleaning tables and serving food at his joint. My friends have refused to come to the joint after that. As for me, I don't care. The food's good :D

I sat down and counted the things I haven’t done.

I wonder if they can be bought with yesterday’s time.

There are things that can never be done.
There are things that can never be undone.

I will never again be twenty one again.
I pass year by year running after my questionable goals.
I live the day. I do stray. But it’s okay.
I counted one. I counted ten. And then I stopped.

Let it be.

I measure more in keeping score the treasured memories of yore.
If only life were a remote control. Sigh!
Well actually, it does!!!

Sometimes, you just can’t find the right word to describe stuff.
You think you know the ‘right’ word, but it just doesn’t strike your damned head, at the right time.
You try flipping a dictionary.
But the most obscure dictionary-approved word doesn’t always fit in.
That’s when ‘invented words’ come into the picture.

It’s not difficult to make up these words/expressions that say just what they mean and mean just what they say. All it needs is a little act of tossing ‘n’ playing with your words. Linguistic double standards.

Close your eyes.
Imagine the most wonderful thing you can think of.
Let’s say it’s a rare spotted deer, dashing through the grasslands or a beautiful wild flower or whatever.
Focus.
Now, imagine a giant foot descending from the heavens and stomping it flat.

That’s how I feel today.
Not like the animal, but the foot.

I don’t know what to call it… what to call the way I feel right now. It’s not just destructive. It’s worse. It’s got a little bit of sadistic pleasure in it too. There are no easy answers, no antibiotics or rationalisation to this one. But it’s not one bit disturbing either.

I think I need some sleep.

Bright at the sun’s rays. Beautiful and blinding.

Cool green and deep blue
Calm as the ocean waves...white as the foam when the waves crash against the rocks near the shore.

The tide comes in then goes out again and I wonder if any of it matters. If I matter.

What the heck am I doing in this world?

At the end of the day, my hopes, my dreams – my everything will be swallowed up by the ever-changing waters of this planet.

I am less significant than a grain of sand on shore.

It’s been like a revolving door, one moment I’m in, one moment I’m out.

I’m not sure what I’m in anymore, and not sure what I just got myself out of.

It’s ecstasy, both of them a world apart from each other, yet very much the same ecstasy that thrills me.

I can’t take both, and I can’t seem to live without either.

I very much would like to give one up, but it’s oh so hard now that it’s been so long.

I’m not sure I’ll stay in. I’ll give it a day.

Feels like...

Feels like a spoon that gets caught in the blades of the blender.
One that’s tossed around and clanging as the acidic fruit-juice splatters all over.
And the handle jerks away from a good grip.

Feels like the high heel shoe strap that keeps slipping off the back of my ankle.
You know the kind of shoes you didn’t really want to walk in all the way across the wet grass.
Bending over after every other step to pull it back up and out from under your foot.

Feel all mixed up and a little more than irritated.

But I know I’ll come out of it in a while.

Like a baby out of a womb.
Like blood out of a wound.
Like a soul out of a tomb.

I have one choice to make...
Is it gonna be
(1)Comfortably numb
OR
(2)Come away with me

I often wonder whether life would have been different if I knew more.

I try telling myself that it would have turned out the same.
That certain circumstances leave me with few choices.
And what I do is making the best of a bad situation.

But the feeling lingers, all the same.

Maybe… events might have taken another course. Perhaps a better one. Had I been properly informed.

I play the sequence back in my head.
Over and over. Probing for an opportunity, a mistake, an opening.
And when I fail to find one, I just start again from the beginning.

zzzzzz...

I was dreaming last night.
Dreaming about weird things.
Not the very weirdly weird stuff.
But the fact that I dreamt of all that is weird.
And what makes it more so weird is the that I remember the whole thing.

The sky has a shiny yin yang instead of the scorching sun.

I was wearing this nice summery flowery long dress.
And the dress flew up and down.
Like the curtains in a windstorm.

I was trying to breathe in the quaint fragrance of my lovely long wavy black tresses.
When a pair of scissors came flying in the air to chop it off and ended up cutting my nose instead.

I had a fresh ‘n’ smiling sunflower stuck in my hair.
And a horribly huge straw hat came out of nowhere, to knock the petals off my head.

I bent down to tighten up the strings of my roman sandals.
When I hear someone calling. Don’t quite know if I was imagining. There wasn’t anyone around.

So I went looking. Searching around. Picking flowers on the way. Walking across a hill.

I heard the voice again.
This time I thought it came from the tree above.

Oh my my!
What do I see?
There’s a pony sitting on the tree.
(Ooooh that’s rhyming, so I clap my hands in glee)

It was oinking like a pig
Why would a pony oink like a pig?
Maybe pigs raised it?
Hmm… that would make sense.
But it was in a tree.
So birds must have raised it.
Shouldn't it be chirping then?
I pondered over this for a while until…
I saw the birds that raised the pony.
They were oinking like pigs.
AAAH! The birds were raised by pigs!

Everything makes sense now. I wasn’t weird after all.

On a more serious note, incidentally, I saw a dream this morning somewhere between 6 am and 8 am... it was weird...
and strangely I thought I had dreamt the exact same dream before... I mean in my dream, I knew what was gonna happen next. But whne I woke up, I coulnd't remember if I had really dreamt the dream before, or was it just in the dream that I knew what was gonna happen.. Strange...
if i start to repeat the dream... I'll probably die of a heart attack. It's gonna be the beginning of one of my scripts for Ram Gopal verma, for sure... it was eerrie...; 6:38 pm

The weather's just right. And you're probably dreaming about going home right about now, making yourself a giant-sized sandwich, a yummy cocktail drink, taking off your shoes and settling in for a nice lazy afternoon of DVD watching, with no one at home.
But since you're at fucking work on a Monday – which is incidentally way better than working on a Sunday – you can’t!!!

Now that’s my second good deed for the day.
Oh, and you're welcome cuz I’m going to hell anyway.

It's fine. I’m totally comfortable with that fact. I accept it.

But let's get the reasons straight. Not that you care, but I do, and this is my blog.

I'm going to hell for drinking vodka for breakfast, handing out cigarettes to small children, throwing food at people’s faces, mixing toxic stuff in water and for an unfortunate string of incidents back in 2003 that involved a… aah, no, I’m not telling you guys! I don’t want any more bloggers turned blackmailers.

What the hell, I’m going to hell anyway, and I’m not going to hell specifically for doing this.

It’s another maddening no-work-to-do kinda Monday and I’m pretending to work. Shhhhh
